If you cooked at the Sam's event in SLC this past weekend, did
YOU find a little "gift" when you were unpacking... An ugly little statue of a "wolf man"?
Well, if you did, you now have "Wolfie"... But that is NOT a good thing... Ask Bam Bam BBQ...
To give you a little history, Kevin Landry (aka "The Crazy Cajun") showed up with "Wolfie up at a BBQ comp in Eagle, ID back in 2009... The bad thing is that Kevin, being a boney-fied "coon ass", claims some N'awlins "Marie Laveau" placed a curse on "Wolfie"... And if he hangs around your cooking site at a BBQ comp for very long - well, say goodbye to your chances of doing well at that comp!!
If you find "Wolfie" mysteriously showing up at your site during a comp, it is in your best interests to secretly "drop him off" on another team without them seeing you doing it, and a soon as possible... If they spot you, you are stuck with "Wolfie" until you can anonymously dump him off on someone else... And a double whammy voodoo hex is on you if you try to throw him in the trash...
"Wolfie" showed up at ID / UT comps in 2009 & 2010... And then I didn't see him at all in 2011... In fact I thought he was long gone - until I saw Joe Wollman trying to sneak him into another cook site on Friday eve...
"Wolfie" was last seen Saturday being proudly displayed on that brand new Yoder smoker of Bam Bam BBQ... In fact, Cameron and Trevor were REAL proud of "Wolfie" - had him om top of the smoke stack, proudly showing him off to the world - until they got the whole story, and saw their results at the comp... Allegedly, they dropped "Wolfie" on another teams before they left on Saturday...
So if you happen to find a fiendish little werewolf statue in your stuff as you unpack - well, you want to bring him to the next competition we have here in UT or ID and pass him off to some other unsuspecting sucker... Otherwise, your competition career may be over...
And for goodness sake, don't just throw him in the trash at home... A pox might be cast on you and your entire family!!!
