The Sam's Club National BBQ Tour makes it's next stop across the US in Salt Lake City this weekend (April 27-28.) 30 teams, primarily from the Intermountain West (although there are teams coming from AZ & SD as well), will be "getting their smoke on" at the Sam's Club at 1905 South 300 West in SLC, vying for $10k in prize money at this contest. The top 6 teams from this comp will then advance to the Regional comp to be held in Albuquerque, NM on May 12.

The weather forecast right now is calling for a cold front to move through the area on Thursday, bringing some rain and high temps in the mid to upper 50's on Fri-Sat - so it will be just a little nippy!!
In addition to the contest itself, there will be a public "sampling" at the main Event Stage on Saturday from 11 AM - 4 PM, and a cooking demonstration for the public at 1:00 PM at the Event Stage as well. The awards are tentatively scheduled for sometime around 4 PM.
